Tank Mixer
The GrassWorks tank mixer is a 2600 liter (687 US gallons,
582 imperial gallons)
mixer capable of bulk mixing water soluble fertilizers and
also speeding up the
use of water soluble chemicals.
Tank mixing is generally used when liquefying materials that
would not effectively
be liquefied without strong agitation. Prilled agricultural
grade urea is a
good example. Prilled agricultural grade urea is not suitable
for fine turf due to
its large particle size but is inexpensive. By liquefying
the material it can effectively
be applied to fine turf but at minimal cost.
Tank mixers are ideal for use on larger spraying jobs. You
can, for example, fill
up GrassWorks Tank Mixer with the relevant amounts of chemicals
and
water and simply refill your sprayer when required. You only
need to add the
correct amount of chemical once, therefore minimize chemical
handling, and
also saving time.
The GrassWorks Tank Mixer has been specifically designed
to efficiently mix chemicals. The 800 l/min trash pump speeds
up the mixing of water soluble chemicals. Inside the tank,
the fluid flow has been designed to mix the chemicals quickly
and evenly. This ensures there are no areas of higher or lower
chemical concentration within the tank.
The GrassWorks software will perform all necessary calculations
to use a tank mixer. The software allows you to use your tank
mixer as part of your normal sprayer calibration process.
GrassWorks’ unique fertiliser calibration calculations
allows you to create a blend of fertilisers to create the
perfect nutrient blend for your application. This can save
significant (several thousands) on using propriety chemical
blends, and can mean you can give your course exactly what
it needs. In short, GrassWorks allows you to saving money,
time, improve health and safety and improve the quality of
your course.
